Since I can remember I’ve always been interested, involved and passionate about politic. I’ve always been taught and adhered to the noble idea that politic should serve the general interest, the interest of all people, and first the one who needs more help.

Moving to the USA was an apparently contradictory move, though when you know I’ve always been fascinated by the USA, the dream, the Silicon Valley, the large spaces, the civil right movement, the music then you don’t find it that surprising.
What I discovered and learned while living in California and now Washington states is a mix of satisfaction and disappointment. No world, no country is perfect (despite what many french think…) and none is better than all of the other on all aspects!

United States of America and California taught me that positive attitude is a deep and powerful engine.
At work, it gave me a feeling of recognition, pride and belonging that I had never experienced in 9 years working in France.
At school, my children discovered praise, rewards, encouragement for effort and a system which, despite being massively defunded by the state in California, guarantees the resources adapted for each child special needs (as a right !).
In society, americans taught us openness, talking with strangers, sharing experiences and feedback, not sharing your judgmental thoughts and criticism. In France money is taboo, here public criticism is inappropriate.
In politics, I discovered the deep implications and downsides of what happens when money controls everything. Lobby, senators, congress representative, etc. at all levels, people representative have to sell themselves in order to fund their re-election (and save their job as well as the job of their constituent when the corporations in their state are blackmailing them). It makes it really hard for a representative to keep his integrity, even only his integrity of judgment and thinking.
Things started to get better, first on the Canadian side, Trudeau and his government seem to be in for real change and fix years of conservatism destructions. Keep it going!

Luckily, I’m now witnessing the rise of the American People of the United States of America. This nation wide community, called The People, is uniting to fight the rigged system and take the control of its government, senate and congress. People demonstrate that they can join forces, money, ideas, smiles and march together to make everyone’s life better.
They found a great person to bring their will to reality, they’re going to hold him, push him and sustain him so that he becomes their President Of The United States. No money from super-PAC, lobbies and big corporation. To be incorruptible, just don’t take money from them, easy ! The base is large enough to crowdfund the campaign and the enthusiasm will do the rest.
Good karma attracts good karma.
My heart feels better since I witnessed the rebirth of this heart warming bird, eyes brightening specie: the “North American Hope Phoenix”.
