Another day in fascist Trumpist USA. I’m worried that we’re getting used to live under this regime. Grotesque stupidity and tremendous corruption in every nook of government. Everywhere in the country people are fighting against the construction of data centers to protect their water, electrivity, nature and environmnent. Today there will be more demonstration against the fascist regime and all the horrors it inflicts on people. Young girls raped in ICE detention center, prisoners tortures and fed rotten food, crammed in cages: it’s all happening while most of the rest of american citizen continue their life as if they did no know what’s going on. Some people know and feel helpless, don’t know what to do so they just endure the moral injuries inflicted on their soul, do what they have to do to survive. Others are persuaded that midterm elections are going to fix the biggest problems so they just wait for a bliue wave, just wait to vote. Activits can’t stay still while all this is happening so each chooses what they’re able to contribute to the fight against the fascists. Meanwhile, the regime continues, undisturbed, to roll out its policies and horrific actions. Years ago it started with book bans, now the shool curriculum in Texas has been amended to enshrine christian doctrine in the student courses. Revised history is deployed in national parks as well as in school books. The mainstream cable media have been purged and are led by pro-regime sycophants. People get their nes from social media and independent media that are on the rise to fullfil the need for fact based information. The various mode of action deployed by activists sometimes feel not enough to me in regard of the gravity of the situation. But I will never blame someone for doing something to fight fascism. On the opposite, I am starting to resent the mass of people, friends or not, that don’t say or do anything. Some of them have big privileges and don’t use them to help the fight. I feel that at least they could raise their voice and give money to help the ones that are acting and putting their livelihood on the line.
